AT THIS VERY MOMENT, I am experiencing something for the very first time...I am writing my first blog.
And, if you choose to read on, I will consider you one of my very best friends!

five - my dad bought me a used one at a garage sale. He painted it bright red and I found it beside our Christmas tree on Christmas morning. That morning
I had another first...my first bicycle accident!
JOHN WAS MY FIRST DATE! He asked me out on my
sixteenth birthday - talk about exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. He was such a hunk!
Personally, I generally do not like experiencing things
for the very first time. You do not always know how they will turn out. Like my first date...I had no idea how it would go. Would John still like me after he got to know me? Would I like him? Most of you know the story on that - 26 years, 3 kids, and 4 pets later, I still think he is a HUNK!
Actually, when it comes to writing my first blog, I feel much like I did going on my first date. Will they like it? Will they read it? Will they laugh at me? (I am already laughing - I must be easily entertained!) Surprisingly, I am already enjoying it! I think it is going to be fun sharing life with you. It will sort of be like sitting and chatting with you at some girly cafe, with lattes in hand!
I should let you know from the start that I probably won’t ever write anything that you think is too profound. Mostly, it will just be thoughts about living a life connected to our amazing creator God and sharing what that means from my perspective.
So, what is my perspective today? Well, since today was another first - the first Sunday in 2009-this is what is on my mind. I want to live 2009 to the fullest! And, I am praying that you have the most amazing and blessed year of your life! That you wake up every morning - choosing to honor God! That in spite of what you see with your human eyes - you will walk by faith every day, believing that the word of God is true! That you will grow in the knowledge of God’s grace, mercy and love...and share it with everyone around you!
